Off Site Backup Server

We are in the process of setting up an Off Site backup Server. Our
production Server is currently Window Servers 2003 with TS, and we will be
using DFS to duplicate the data on the other Server. Both Servers will be
running GoldMine and SQL Server 2000. The queston is, will we be able to use
the same SQL Server License for replication on the other Server or would we
have to purchase a seperate License?

No, if you are using DFS to replicate your data files to the standby server
(or Double Take or log shipping) you do not need a SQL Server license on the
standby server as long as the standby server is not actively running SQL
Server and serving clients, and both servers will not be serving clients at
the same time. If you are using SQL Server replication to do this you will.
Note that I would be careful about using DFS to replicated your live
database files.
